Australian Studies Resources

Welcome to the Australian Studies Resources page at the University of Sydney Library's Scholarly Electronic Text and Image Service (SETIS).

SETIS is a creator of digital editions of Australian literary and historical texts and hosts a number of other Australian Studies Resources.

The project depends upon external funding sources, either through grants or private sponsorship of individual works.

The texts are keyed to a high level of accuracy and encoded in accordance with the Guidelines established for the markup of humanities source texts by the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI). SETIS is a member of the TEI Consortium and arranges regular training sessions for the use of TEI in preparing digital editions of source texts.

SETIS is keen to establish further cooperative relations with other institutions involved in digital conversion projects and to encourage further involvement by interested sponsors.
