What's New In ActiveKB 2005?
ActiveKB 2005 is the result of 6 months of development time by our team of dedicated PHP developers. We've added new features which make it easier to use and faster to load amongst other things. Take a look at the additions to ActiveKB 2005 below:
- Language packed. Both the front end knowledge base and the back end control panel are completely language-packed and driven by simple to edit HTML template files.
- Works in all browsers. ActiveKB 2005 works flawlessly in all modern web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Netscape.
- Flexible skins. Choose from 2 different skins to completely change the look of your ActiveKB knowledge base.
- Multiple administrators. Create an unlimited number of users, each of which can have different permissions to create and modify the content of your knowledge base.
- Save user questions. When a user submits a question from ActiveKB's contact page, this question is automatically saved as a pending question and with just one click you can enter an answer and send a reply to the visitor via email and also add the question to your knowledge base.
- Search engine friendly URL's. Search engines such as Google can now index all content in your knowledge base, allowing visitors and potential customers to find help faster.
- Unlimited sub-categories. Create an unlimited number of sub-categories for your knowledge base questions.
- Password protection. Categories and sub-categories can now be password protected to restrict access to private questions.
- New image manager. Upload and insert images directly into your content using any web browser.
- Up to 5 file attachments. Attach up to 5 files to each question.
- Category descriptions. Categories now have optional descriptions which make it easier for your visitors to navigate your ActiveKB knowledge base.
- RSS feeds for categories. Each category can now be syndicated using RSS XML feeds. For extra security, password protected categories cannot be syndicated.
