If I change my Marketing Preferences to say “No” to phone calls or postal mail, can I be sure Yahoo! will never contact me this way?
There may be times when Yahoo! contacts you by phone or postal mail about service issues or billing matters, in response to an inquiry you initiated, or about other similar service-related situations. In rare instances, we may do this even if your phone marketing preference indicates that you do not wish to be contacted by phone or mail.

While Yahoo! advertises online, we also use traditional "offline" advertising vehicles. Occasionally we send postal mail and market certain business services by phone. Yahoo! does not currently engage in telemarketing to consumers. Yahoo! maintains an internal do-not-contact list generated from our members' Marketing Preferences.

Please note that Yahoo!'s ability to accurately honor your choices relies on you providing up-to-date addresses and phone numbers in your account information so that we may add or remove this information from our marketing lists according to your Marketing Preferences. If you believe your information is no longer current, please edit it on your account information page.
