Download The NetBeans Profiler
- Important: Uninstall any previous milestone of the profiler before proceeding with installing M7. For M6, just run the uninstaller. For any milestones before M6, see How to uninstall for uninstall instructions.
- Launch and complete the downloaded installer.
- Restart the IDE
- Note: Please read the documentation on supported
JVMs carefully. Depending on the version of the JVM (bundled customized JDK 1.4.2 or standard JDK 5/6)
that you would like to run your profiled applications on, you may need to download additional files and/or change
some settings for your project inside the IDE.
- Warning: The JFluid modified 1.4.2 JDK is no longer part of the standard installation. If you would like to profile using JDK 1.4.2,
please download NBM for your platform below, and install it as a regular module into your IDE. The JDK will be automatically added to the Java Platforms in your IDE.
- If you would like to use remote profiling, download the Profiler Server bundle for your remote machine
platform. Unpack the downloaded ZIP file on that machine, which will result in creation of nb-profiler-server
folder with two subfolders. Run the calibrate.sh (calibrate.bat) file located in
nb-profiler-server. This will perform calibration and save its results on the remote machine disk.
After that, you can run applications for remote profiling on that machine - see
instructions on how to attach Profiler
to remotely started application.
