Birmingham Aiport Facilities
Baggage Trolleys:
Available at the main entrance to the terminal and in the Baggage Reclaim
Halls.
Rendezvous Point: On the ground floor in the main concourse
adjacent to the American Express Bank.
Tour Operators Desks: On the ground
floor in the main concourse. The desks are normally staffed 2 hours before
flight departure, for tickets on departure only.
Taxis: Outside the
Millenium Link Block.
Foreign Exchange Facilities
A Bureau de Change for
the sale, purchase and exchange of foreign currency and travellers cheques as
well as cheque encashment (with a current bank card) is available at Birmingham
Aiport. American Express Cardmember Services and the sale of travel insurance
is situated on the ground floor.
A recent addition for disabled customers
is a till allowing wheelchair access and a loop system for the hard of hearing.
Further Bureau de Change are situated in the International Baggage Reclaim
Hall and the International Departure Lounge Both are open daily:

Passport Photo Machine: In the main concourse on the ground
floor.
Fax Facility: Credit card-operated machines are available in the
Business Booths in the Departure Lounge.
Nappy Changing Rooms: Available
at all times and situated on the first floor and also in the Departure Lounge
from the end of March 2000.
Executive Lounges: Both handling agents, MAS
& Servisair have lounge facilities for their customer airlines. Business
services available in each lounge. For further information contact either
handling agent.
Business Booths: In the Departure Lounge with credit card
operated phone/email/modem/fax facilities.
Smoking Areas: We have
designated areas for smoking and they are within the Granary buffet area and
The Abraham Darby Pub on the first floor, and within the Departure Lounge
catering outlets, Costa Coffee and Shakespeare Pub.
Disabled Facilities
Birmingham International Airport, the airlines and their handling agents offer a range of facilities designed to make the disabled traveller's journey as comfortable and trouble free as possible. These guidelines are designed to help the disabled traveller make the most effective use of these services.
When making flight arrangements: So that the maximum assistance can be given, always tell the airline either directly or through your travel agent if you may have difficulty in walking, require a wheelchair or have special dietary requirements. They will then be able to make special arrangements to help you at the Airport and/or during the flight.
