Master Fishing Guide
In
an effort by KRPGA to both honor and exemplify outstanding longevity,
professionalism , contribution and achievement among our individual
members, a designation of: Kenai River Master Fishing Guide has been
established. Due to the attrition of long time guides (ten or more years),
over half of the existing guide body has less than five years of experience.
By awarding Master Guide recognition to qualified members, we can help
the community, guided anglers and fellow guides to recognize the longstanding
commitment our esteemed members are making for the resource, the benefit
to our industry, and our community. The Master Guide status will also
qualify an individual guide to participate on a KRPGA Guide Board, which
will be given the mandate of addressing guide conflict and behavior
and supervising the KRPGA New Guide Training Program.
