Professional Guide List

November 2004

Why should you hire a KRPGA guide?

The KRPGA is an organization that promotes professionalism within its membership.  To this end, KRPGA members are dedicated to the sport fishing resources of the Kenai Peninsula.  Customer safety is a primary concern, and.to this end the KRPGA initiated an annual program for pre-season boat inspections by the U.S. Coast Guard.  Fishing with a guide that uses a boat that has not been inspected could result in delays, cancellations, or an abrupt end to your fishing day if stopped by the patrol and violations are found.

In addition, you may find that your KRPGA guide is more conservative about the fisheries resource than many others.  He or she may encourage or even require that passengers release all rainbow trout, for example, even if the legal limit is one fish per day.  He or she may also encourage you to release a trophy sized fish.  You may want to call your guide before booking a trip to learn what his or her policies are.

Our KRPGA Professional Guide List is divided into 2 sections, listed alphabetically by business name.  Please select one of the options below to view the listings.  Please also feel free to call any of our professional guides, email them, or visit their web site for more information.  Underlined business names are links to their respective web sites, and underlined names will enable you to email a guide directly.
