"Spring Walleye" Little Bay de Noc
15 May 2005 to 30 Jun 2005
May 15th marks the date every year when the annual spawing cycle for the Walleye should be completed and the Walleye and Pike seasons open here in the Upper Peninsula. As the Walleye begin their spring migration out to the deeper and cooler waters of Green Bay you'll be there to intercept them in Little Bay de Noc. Why is this place so world renowned as a Walleye fishery? Probably because there are several rivers and streams flowing into the bay and provide for lots of food for them. But one thing for sure is that its great fishing and relatively protected from the wind.
We fish these Walleye using three different methods. Trolling crawler harnesses on planner boards, drifting, or jigging. All methods are productive and have thier own situation where each is the best one to use. You will be fishing with an experienced and licensed Captain aboard the Uncle Ducky IV a 20' Crestliner Walleye boat. we provide all of the tackle and bait and a lunch for you. We also clean and process your fish.
You should have a current Michigan fishing icense for any angler 17 or older, some rain gear, a camera, clothing appropriate to early spring weather, and a cooler to take your fish home in.
