This fully furnished cottage is detached in a third of an acre of enclosed gardens and has three bedrooms. The large double room has a private staircase leading to it. There is another staircase leading to a large twin room and then through the twin room is a door accessing a single bedroom. All rooms are provided with duvets covers and sheets. Downstairs is a large fully fitted kitchen/diner with utensils, crockery and cutlery provided. There is a dining table and 6 chairs. Leading off the kitchen is a large comfortable lounge with three-piece suite and TV receiving free to view UK digital channels including BBC, ITV, Ch4, Ch5, Sky News etc. and there is also a DVD player with 50 movies covering all genres for use.

Vallière is a village of outstanding beauty that is commented on by many people. It is a peaceful place that exudes an aura of relaxation. The village is only a two-minute walk from the property but its existence is not noticed from the cottage itself. Valliere has surprisingly many shops for a small village that include a hairdresser, antiques shop, butcher, baker and mini convenience store selling everything you could need. There is also a magnificent ‘fromagerie’ selling all the best authentic French cheeses along with local fresh vegetables and next-door is a ‘cave à vins’ (a wine cellar) There is a Doctor’s surgery, a pharmacy and a taxi company also in the village. Less then one mile away is a large lake, providing fishing and picnic spots. Valliere has a market every 2nd Thursday. Many people are taking advantage of the still relatively low house prices in the newly discovered area. This cottage would make an idea base for house hunters. It has been described as the lake district of France. The main town of Creuse is Gueret , which is about 20-30 minutes to the North of Valliere. This is a town of some 200,000 inhabitants with a very pretty and old centre that has all the shops and amenities to keep anyone busy. There are many places to visit in the area including: Lake Vassiviere is 20-30 minutes away and has 45 kms of shoreline, offering category two fishing, six man-made sandy beaches for lazing under the sun or take part in the swimming and water sports or visit the many subtle bars and restaurants. Situated on an island in the lake is the Centre of Contemporary Art with a sculpture park and many more relaxing and scenic picnic spots. Enjoy a taste of city life and culture by visiting the capital city of Limousin, Limoges. It is famed for its lace but mainly its porcelain and enamel work. The city centre also contains numerous museums, a 13th century Butcher’s quarter, covered market, botanical gardens and microbrewery complete with a bar and pavement side tables so that you can sit and people-watch as your day slips by. The medieval town of Saint Leonard de Noblat with its 11th century church is a fine illustration of Romanesque architecture along with its half timbered houses and shops. Aubusson, famous for its tapestry weaving has both permanent and temporary exhibitions of works dating as far back as the 15th century right up to the present day. Don’t miss the exceptional sight of the wolves being fed at the Loup de Charbrieres wildlife park 20 minutes from Valliere towards Gueret. A must for anybody who has an interest in World War 2 is the town of Oradour-sur-Glane still stands as it did since the day of 10th June 1944 when, along with the inhabitants of the village, it was destroyed by the 2nd Waffen SS Panzer Division Das Reich. It is a poignant and sober reminder of days long gone.

An exceptional conservatory is located on the rear of the house that boasts magnificent views over the countryside, and both the sunrise and sunset can be seen from this room. There is a toilet/utility room containing a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Next-door is a separate shower room that has a new thermostatically controlled shower. Towels are provided. Most rooms have real wooden floors and all rooms are cleaned to a high standard and have double glazed windows and central heating when needed for the winter months. There is a terrace outside to the rear of the property, which is ideal for BBQ’s. A travel cot is available free of charge. For the wintertime—Skiing is only 85kms away!! After a hard day on the piste come back to a lovely warm home, safe in the knowledge that the modern central heating system and double glazing will keep the cottage nice and cozy for your return. * Small 'cost only' surcharge for oil central heating and electricity
