G/DG has awarded two "leader with associates cooperative agreements" to non-governmental organizations to enhance the Agency's capacity to promote respect for human rights and the rule of law by providing accelerated access to NGOs with extensive human rights and rule of law expertise. The RIGHTS Consortium includes Freedom House as the lead organization with the American Bar Association™s Central and Eastern European Initiative (ABA/CEELI) and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI). The second consortium includes the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES) as the lead organization and the International Human Rights Law Group (Law Group). |
