I guess it is time to update this thing again.  I know I promised you some pictures from my travels this summer.  I seem to have been so busy this year that I have just totally forgotten to do some of these little things that should be so easy to do.  So, here's a couple of travel pictures from my jaunts around the countryside.

These are just a couple of what I saw while riding in the South Dakota area.  The first is one of the neatest things I have ever run across while riding the motorcycle.  It is a real spiral in the road.  You come down the road and go into a turn, the road then turns into this bridge and goes back under itself.  I did this ride two times while I was in Sturgis just because it was so much fun and very unique.  The second is a profile shot of Mt. Rushmore.  Never did pay to get into the park but the views from the road are pretty good too.  Finally, this is the Gas Light Saloon.  A great bar in the middle of a ghost town between Rapid City and Hill City where we were staying.  Needless to say had a few fun nights there.  They even supplied a shuttle back to the hotel so that we didn't have to worry about driving.  One of my buddies I was traveling with is in the left side of the picture.  He doesn't know that he is a star now!!

I also went to San Diego this summer on the bike.  The trip was wonderful but the weather was a killer!  Traveled through the southwest in the middle of July through the 4-corners region and into the southern deserts of Arizona and California.  Don't think I will ever do that again!  The heat was incredible!!!  114 degrees plus!

The first picture is a chimney rock which probably has a name but I have no clue what it was.  Sort of interesting since it was in the middle of a really flat area with the plateaus in the background.  The second one is the hills outside of Phoenix.  A few Saguaro cactus in the shot with nothing but brush and heat!  The second day on the road I decided to get up really early and get on the road before it got too hot.  This was taken somewhere in the desert after riding for about an hour.  Sunrise in the desert is spectacular!

So, now you are caught up a bit on my travels.  When I have time maybe I'll put a few more out there.

I also took my mother to her 64th High School reunion in Ohio.  What a trip that was for both of us!  She got to see all of her old flames and girl friends.  I was the hit of the party because I was the youngest there!  That doesn't say much because most of you know that I'm really not that young. :)

I guess that is all I'm going to put out here for now.  Maybe as winter sets in and I'm not running all over the country side on that motorcycle of mine I will settle down and get this thing updated a bit more often.

One other thing you all should know about.  I had a big bead show in Denver.  As most of you know I try to run an "AFTER SHOW SALE".  So, this is the announcement for that show.  Don't have a date for it yet but I'm shooting for sometime in the next two weeks or so.  It will run for a long weekend (4 days) and then be gone forever.  Keep your eyes open and I'll announce the actual dates very soon.

Now I guess it is back to the studio for a while.  Get some neat new stuff made up for everyone!

I'm still available for custom orders so let me know if you would like some beads.

I've added some new earring pairs to the website.  So, some of the holes have been filled.  Still need to get a few sets up there but I just can't seem to find the time right now.  Hopefully that will happen soon!

Thanks for visiting,
Christine
