CASA VILLA GLORIA
CASA VILLA GLORIA is placed in the south facing part of the historically
rich "Cortijada", an old farming settlement in the midst
of cereal fields and olive groves, 5 km from the picturesque Montefrio.
The house was rebuilt over many years from the ruins of an old farmstead
and today houses well equipped holiday accommodation in the simple
country house style, with a swimming pool and many extra features.
Casa Villa Gloria lies in a delightful and so far little known touristic
region west of Granada, the " Poniente Granadino"of inland
Andalusia. The area offers good leisure facilities (in particular
for cyclists) and a good base for investigating all parts of Andalusia.
The drive to the coast is scarcely one hour, to Granada and Antequera
30 minutes, to Cordoba and into the Sierra Nevada takes about 1
hour.
The house has 5 bedrooms, and large and very well equipped
common rooms, a generous terrace and a nice garden with a barbeque
grill and a hammock.
The tiled swimming pool with sun lounges, external
shower and a panoramic view is absolutely fantastic.
3 bedrooms
and one of the two bathrooms lie on the upper floor. On the ground
floor there are a further 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, the salon and
the kitchen. The latter has a window/door leading to the covered
terrace.
On the terrace a table tennis table with racquets and balls
is available.
The roomy salon offers country atmosphere,
a cosy fire-place with a sofa corner, a television and a large dining
table.
The immediate locality of the "Cortijada" is excellent
for walks. The mountain side on the opposite face of the valley
"Penas de los Gitanos" is, because of the "Dolmen"
(stone graves and ancient cult sites) one of the geologically most
valuable regions of the province.
Directly beneath the house lies
the parking area, it offers space for several cars.
Montefrio has
many shops and typical Andalusian hospitality. This small village
is grouped around a round church built on the rock, a Castillo towers
above it.

WINTERSEASON 495,- to 650,-- EUR per week
Prices in mid- and low season depend on the number of guests.
Swimming pool usually from 01.05. - 30.09., when desired all year
round.
Minimum renting duration 7 days, change over day Saturday in high
season.
Fire wood is made available for the first day and computed afterwards
specially (9, - EUR barrow)
