Jasmin is situated close to Orgiva, the main village of the Alpujarras and the
Sierra Nevada National Park. It is a well cared for house (approx. 50 m²)
surrounded by a beautiful garden with large varieties of flowers and sub-tropical
plants. The centrepiece of the garden is the impressive swimming pool (7x4m)
bordered by a tidy lawn, ideal for relaxing and sunbathing. The house itself
consists of a double bedroom, bathroom and living room with open-plan kitchen,
separated by a breakfast bar. All the rooms are well-furnished in typical Andalusian
style. A cosy wood burner provides warmth in the winter months. There is
also a south facing terrace (3x8m) with tables and chairs which is an ideal
spot to take it easy in the evenings or dine al fresco whilst enjoying the view
and the warm night air. The area around the property is one of the most
interesting hiking regions in Europe. The walk along the fast-flowing River Chico,
which runs past Casa Jasmin and up to the Sierra Nevadas, has changed very little
in modern times and offers walkers amazing views and natural landscapes dating
back to the Moors. The nearby town of Orgiva - 3 minutes by car and 10-12
minutes on foot - has shops, banks, restaurants, bars and chemist shops. There
is also a lively market every Thursday selling fresh fruit and vegetables as well
as an array of local produce. Parking - next to the house.
Granada is a 1
hour drive and the beaches of the Costa Tropical and Salobreña are approx.
45 minute
