Please join Michelle Hargis and her Boerne Middle School students on Thursday, May 23 from 9-10 AM (CST) and 1:00-2:00 PM (CST). Her students will be hosting shows entitled:
"Our current energy crisis-What can we do?" from 9-10 AM (CST)
"Is the world overpopulated?" from 1:00-2:00 PM (CST),
Both of these topics stem from the "A World of Resources" Lotus QuickPlace Collaboration Zone. Her students have chosen to expand upon the brainstorming questions 'Arctic Oil' and 'Six Billion.'
Anyone (students, teachers, parents) who wants to participate may log on to the site at www.kpup.com > to listen. KPUP (Kids Producing Upstanding Positive talk radio) is an internet radio talk show for students by students. The audio streaming is done out of an Internet service company in
California since their bandwidth is much larger and can accommodate the live streaming of our program better than Boerne Middle School's. Interested participants may add their comments by calling toll-free at 1-877-374-9147.

This is some of the stuff we have done involving Arctic Blast and D.E.C.I.D.E. (Don't Even Consider Illegal Drugs Ever). That is our own drug free campaign for our school inspired by Arctic Blast.
1. We made a huge trifold board with everything about Arctic Blast. It was set up in the library and has pictures of the dogs, you, and any information we found on the site.
2. We also made surveys about drugs which was also an idea from your website. We passed them out all over the school and also had some in the library.
3.We mad three "DECIDE" posters. One has "DECIDE" written on it and what it stands for. The second has pictures of models and movie stars and says, "They don't, why should you?" The third one has, "Why ruin you life?" written on it.
We always went to Mrs. Anderson's classroom in between our classes when we only had five minutes. If we ever had any freee time, it was always devoted to getting every survey counted, working on a poster, or making the trifold poster in the library.

Conservatory of Lifelong Learning (WCLL) on April 27th. He joined the WCLL students in the Instructional Resource Center (IRC) as they were using iMac computers to "Dogsled the Internet."

This is Mrs. Garman's fourth grade class at Madison Elementary School in Massena, New York. "We love following Paul and Mille and their dogs across Nunavut. Each student has "adopted" a Polar Husky to follow through the journey and to write about. We enjoy the chats with Paul and Mille, hearing about what Nunavut is like, and the adventures along the way. We are looking forward to the next one!"
