The downtown Boston location of the Onyx Hotel is central to the history as well as the future of Boston, Massachusetts. Near the Freedom Trail, our luxury hotel is also a block from the much anticipated parks and serence open space which are replacing on outdated six lane highway. The resulting Rose Kennedy Greenway, a stones throw from our hotel, will open a "new downtown" near the waterfront.
The boutique Onyx Hotel also puts guests just three blocks from the Fleet Center, Boston's premiere sports and entertainment venue; four blocks from the markets of Faneuil Hall; Two blocks from the famous Italian North end district and within a mile of the new and old City Halls, the new and old city courthouses, the new and old state buildings and landmarks such as Bunker Hill, The Freedom Trail and the beautiful waterfront. The Onyx is located in central downtown Boston, MA
Just ten minutes (three miles) from Boston's Logan International Airport, the boutique Onyx Hotel is centrally located in downtown Boston.
Valet parking is available with in and out privileges.
Directions coming from Logan Airport:
Upon departing the airport terminal, follow signs toward "Airport Exit" (the signs will actually say "Airport Exit").
When approaching the airport exit you will have an option to go left towards the "Ted Williams Tunnel" or right towards the "Sumner Tunnel". Whereas both tunnels can get you to the hotel, the "Sumner" is the easiest.
Go through the tolls which are $3.00.
Follow the Sumner Tunnel to the end and bear left towards the sign for "Government Center."
Coming out from the tunnel, bear right at the sign that says "North Station."
Stay to the right and follow to the sign that says "Government Center."
Road will curve to the left and bring you to a set of lights.
At the lights, turn right onto New Chardon Street.
You will come to another set of lights and there will be a Mobil station on your right. Take a right here onto Merrimac Street.
Bear right immediately at "Paddy Burke's Pub" onto Portland Street.
Now you are on Portland Street. We are a half block down on the right at 155 Portland Street.
Directions coming from the north on Rt. 1
Follow Rt. 1 south to 93 South
Follow I-93 south to exit 24A for government center.
Take the first right off the exit towards government center
At the first light turn left onto North St.
At the next light turn right on Congress St.
Congress St. will become Merrimac St.
Bear right onto Portland St.
The Onyx Hotel is half way down the block at 155 Portland St. on the right hand side.
Directions coming from the west on I-90:
Follow I-90 into Boston and exit onto I-93 north.
Take I-93 north to exit 23 "Government Center."
Coming out from the off-ramp, bear right at the sign that says "North Station."
Stay to the right and follow the signs that say "Government Center."
After about a ¼ mile the road will curve to the left and bring you to a set of lights.
At the lights turn left towards "Government Center," then a quick right onto New Chardon Street.
