Available free of charge to guests of The Charles Hotel, the Wellbridge Athletic Club is a full-service facility adjacent to the hotel. This private club offers professional fitness in a unique environment -- the floor-to-ceiling windows give guests incredible views of Harvard Square and the Charles River. The Club features a four-lane rooftop pool, a weight room, an aerobic studio, a stretching area, a variety of strength training and cardiovascular equipment, as well as locker rooms with sauna. The Club also has experienced fitness trainers for personalized training sessions at a separate fee.

From Logan Airport
As you leave the airport, follow signs for Route 90, Mass. Turnpike West. This will lead you through the new Ted Williams Tunnel and continues underground through South Boston. Continue on Route 90 West to the “Brighton, Cambridge” exit. Bear right after the tollbooth and follow the sign for Cambridge. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left at the second traffic light onto Soldiers Field Road. This is just before the Charles River and there is no street sign. Follow Soldiers Field Road approximately ½ mile and take the “Harvard Square” exit. Turn right off of the exit ramp and proceed over the bridge. Continue straight across Memorial Drive onto J.F.Kennedy Street and turn left at the second light onto Eliot Street. Bear left at the next intersection onto Bennett Street and The Charles Hotel is immediately on your left.
From The West (Mass Pike - Rt 90)
Take the Mass Pike/Route 90 East towards Boston. From the Mass. Turnpike0, take the “Allston/Cambridge” exit. After the tollbooth, bear right towards Cambridge. Continue straight over the River Street Bridge. At the bottom of the bridge, take an immediate left onto Memorial Drive. At the third traffic light, turn right onto J.F.Kennedy Street and then turn left at the second light onto Eliot Street. Bear left at the next intersection onto Bennett Street and The Charles Hotel is immediately on your left.
From The South (I-93 North)
Heading north on Route 93 take the Mass Pike/Route 90 to the “Brighton, Cambridge” exit. Bear right after the tollbooth and follow the sign for Cambridge. From MBTA (Red Line - Harvard Square)
Follow signs to Harvard Square exit. Once on the street level, proceed down Brattle Street. Bear left onto Eliot Street. Turn right onto Bennett Street. The Charles Hotel will be on the left. |
