The Mind Over Matter Series

The eye-catching, thought-provoking Mind Over Matter series includes seven magazines for grades five through nine and is presented in a new, compact format. A new magazine on methamphetamine is now available.

The series encourages young teens to reject drug use by helping them understand the effects of drugs on the brain. In each magazine, Sara Bellum - a budding science student - takes students on a scientific journey to learn about the brain's complex responses to specific drugs including inhalants, hallucinogens, marijuana, opiates, nicotine, stimulants, and steroids. A brightly colored poster is included on the back of each magazine.
