Artists have R.I.G.H.T.S. - Redistribution In Graphics Has Got To Stop! If you have a
linkware graphics site, and your terms don't state that if you create webpages for hire you must pay for a license to use
them...you might want to change them. There are people using our hard work to make themselves look good, and they think
they're doing no wrong.
One way we've found to help people understand that just because it's easy to save graphics doesn't make it right, is to
take away the ability to right-click. If you've been looking for a good javascript to do just that, you'll find one that
works with both Netscape and MSIE here. But think about the other things people use the right-click button for, and
try to provide the same functionality. Don't be more restrictive than necessary or you'll alienate people for no reason. |
