Glasgow Airport Security
Glasgow's only international airport handles 600,000 passengers
per year coming from mainly European destinations with further a field
flights from North America and the West Indies. It is a relatively quite
airport by international standards but serves most of Scotland with European
flights. It is ultra-modern and spacious in design and has all the hallmarks
of an international airport.

Hand Baggage
Since
the Sep 11 terrorist attack, all airline security is stringent, even for
domestic flights. Your luggage should be send through a security check
prior to check-in, and your person and hand luggage will be subject to
X-ray inspection before boarding. These do not affect camera film or most
magnetic storage systems. Hand baggage should be a maximum weight of between
5 & 7 kilos, and dimensions should not exceed height 450mm x width
350mm x depth 200mm. carry only one piece of hand luggage. Also make sure
that your hand luggage does not contain:

If items are confiscated at security control you
will not be compensated and, with the exception of unusual circumstances,
the confiscated items will not be returned.

In addition to the restrictions on what is allowed
in hand luggage, there are a number of items that must not be taken
on board an aircraft, either as hand luggage or in the hold. Please
do not pack the following anywhere in your carry on or check in
luggage:
