Car Rentals, Transportation Information and Getting Around New Orleans
| Go here for airfare information. |
Because of the narrow one-way streets, congestion and limited parking, we suggest that you forgo bringing your own car, and instead try riding a taxi from one of the main companies, such as White Fleet Cabs and United Cabs, or trying another form of transportation. If you and your family are very active, you can even rent bicycles from Bicycle Michael’s. There are also three Amtrak trains that serve New Orleans at the Union Passenger Terminal, running to Memphis, Jackson, Chicago, Birmingham, Atlanta, Washington, New York City, Los Angeles and Miami. If you’re into vintage, there are 1923-1924 vintage streetcars to fulfill your needs as well.
