This is first solo important impression of lead singer of Destiny's Child and maybe one of the most caughtivaty woman on the era. This actrees singer just get the idea of take a break and see if she's really what people called her at. Breakin' through classic R&B; hit lady she started her album with the overplayed Crazy In Love featuring Sweetheart bringin' up some hugh beat but if you realized the song is quite sizzlyn' and buiblin' under the true potential of B. Then comes the DISCO with Naughty Girl usin' a sample of prohibid 'Love To Love Your Babe' The song keeps ahead and remarked a classic possitive vocal flat style. The song is kind of good except by some high notes that sound so annoyin'. Comin' ahead Jamaica sensation Sean Paul bring her dutty on Baby Boy where he smashes the mic on, the song released as sencond single isn't the same of the record. The record present a more unsexy Baby Boy and kind of caught into sexual healin'.
If you were wondering what could possibly can brin Baby Boi to the record, it might be surprisin' gratificatin' and relaxin' Hip Hop Star the one that keep a singin' highlight and research old school joint. Now this last 4 songs are the only party songs like in this album. Then comes the ballad section on a constant and irritatin' cryin' game with higlights and big low fall. Be With You provides the highlight on this section bringin' back a cover song makin' B sound so authentic and providing something that we kind of see on regular DC's records. Me Myself and I marked the 3rd single and the ballad that keeps self respect as private message. Restricted by a possitive message and bringin' some ok lyric just make the song look good but not BRILLIANT.
Yes sounds like a weak imitation of Ashanti makin' B sound so not her and personally bringin' some R&B; prototype on the record. Then comes the sassy and maybe the worst song on the album, Missy did her thang really wrong on Signs makin' weak spassm... awful song dedicatin' to astrology. The song might be good for artists like Tweet or Mya but not to powerful B voice. The sexy Speechless open the door to a brand new woman on stage soundin' special (let's make sure that these sexy song if you don't sing them well you'll look like a hoe)
Jay Z comes over to sing That's How You Like Ah! so weird song considerin' to childy but so bored at the same time. Dangerously In Love made the last statement as a performer (stealing the song of Survivor album) makin' look like DC is all about B. The song is thrillin' amazin'. Grammy Winner The Closer I Get To You performed with R.I.P. Luther Vandross make possitive ranges on the album with an outstanding performance makin' it right. Gift From Virgo and Daddy sound sazzy but message-full. Then comes international Austin' Hit - Work It Out and basicly biggest duet of her life 03' Boonie & Clyde.
This album might won the Grammy but just don't stand up from other R&B; albums like Ashanti or even Kelly Rowland's Simply Deep

To be honest I've only listened to tracks 1-7.I think they are koooo!!!Beyonce's #1 album and her first solo-album is not quite good like I thought it would be.Mainly because some songs bored me to death.But the beggining makes you just wanna get up and dance!Then tracks 8-15 make you wanna weep you tears out.Beyonce has an awesome voice and she's really good at making videos!Her music is the bomb,especially "Crazy In Love".My favorite songs are:Crazy In Love,Baby Boy,Yes,Hip Hop Star,Be With You,Naughty Girl,Speechless,That's How You Like It,Dangerously In Love 2 and Gift From Vergo.I'm looking forwards to getting Beyonces next album also Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams and also Destiny's Child #1's.Overall this album gets 100/100 because of the cover art.It's really tight!
DESCENT!
Beyonce has the looks and the beauty that sets her apart from other female artists. But, however, her first album was just aiight. It didn't just blow me out of the water. Of course, you have to like "Closer I Get..." with Luther (R.I.P), "Baby Boy", "Crazy In Love", "That How I Like" and "Signs". I find as she grows more into her music she will grow more as an artist.
