This is the 5th time I've reviewed...better than before!
I bought this album the day before it came out in November 2004 (they sat out some copies at Wal-Mart ahead of time, so I figured...)
At first, I really didn't like the album, but after close to a full year of playing the album numerous times, I finally give it 4 stars, which is actually what I'd give its predecessor, "Survivor."
This is the 4th time that i've written a review for this CD, seeing that my opinions about it change frequently. I bought this album 2 days before its release, and instantly crowned it as a better album than "Survivor". Although I do respect this album more now than I did when I first bought it, I'll have to retract that statement that this is better than "Survivor", because it really isn't.
"Lose My Breath" - 5/5 - a very hot dance song
"Soldier" - 5/5 - they got gangsta with this one
"Cater 2 U" - 5/5 - BLAZIN'
"T-Shirt" - 2/5 - not too good
"Is She The Reason" - 5/5 - I love the horn sections on this song! although i'm not too fond of the lyrics [b/c I'm a guy], i love its tune
"Girl" - 4/5 - another song with lyrics that don't suit me, but I love the tune in the chorus part; Michelle's verse is my favorite part of this song
"Bad Habit" - 4/5 - your typical DC track, meaning that it's outstanding
"If" - 3/5 - like the chorus---that's about it!
"Free" - 5/5 - another great DC ballad!
"Through With Love" - 5/5 - outstanding vocal performances from all 3 of the girls!
"Love" - 3/5 - don't listen to it much, but it gives the album a good ending

Not Their Best, But Good
Now, 'Destiny Fulfilled' isn't their best album, but it is also not their worst. The obvious three Best Songs on here are The Three Singles; 'Lose My Breath', 'Soldier', and 'Cater 2 U'. And the other songs are just okay. Simple as that. But the sound that these women put together make is almost like no other. This album, if sung by anyone else, would be three stars. But since it's Destiny's Child, it is 4 stars.
