Licensed Residential Builder
Effective July 1, 1999 all residential builders who engage in,
arrange for, or manage all or substantially all of the construction of a new
home in B.C. must be Licensed Residential Builders and must arrange for home
warranty insurance.

Licensed Building Envelope Renovator
Effective September 30, 2000 all building envelope renovators who
engage in, arrange for, or manage a building envelope renovation in B.C. that
is subject to the Homeowner Protection Act and Regulations must be licensed as
building envelope renovators and must arrange for insurance on the building
envelope renovation.
