Thayer's is not a restaurant; Thayer's is not "Open to the Public." Whether you are  attending scheduled entertainment events or private events, advance reservations are always necessary.

More tea information:

Private Afternoon Teas have exclusive use of our dining room that seats up to 50 guests, you select the date, the time for your tea, and your menu. We also have menus designed especially for children and fund raisers. 

• we recommend two weeks advance notice to book a private  tea, but, sometimes last minute dates are available.

• An Afternoon Tea of five courses takes about three hours. 

• As with all events here at Thayer's, pre-payment is required. 

• MN Sales tax is 6.5%

• A 20% automatic service gratuity charge is applied to the event total BEFORE any sale pricing, coupons or discounts are applied- See our policy page for all the details. 

• We offer scheduled teas & other entertainment events for individuals, couples and groups.

• Table side palm readings with gifted psychic, owner, Sharon Gammell, are available for an additional $15 per guest.
• With advance notice, a complimentary guided tour of Thayer's can be included. Tours depend on availability.

Sharon Gammell is a self-taught gourmet chef of 35 plus years. She has had successful restaurants in Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota and over the years has catered to groups as small as 2 and as large as 1,500.  

As the owner of Thayer's, Sharon wears many hats. She is an innkeeper, noted psychic, chef, wedding officiate, bookkeeper, decorator, maid, supervisor, and perfectionist so, whether she happens to be preparing a latte' or tea, writing  wedding vows or a new murder mystery,  cooking your dinner, teaching a class, doing a psychic reading, making your bed, or serving breakfast, rest assured everything at Thayer's meets her high standards.
