Thayer's
is open year round.

We
accept one night stays but suggest you stay two or more
nights to really experience Thayer's.

Our earliest check in time is at 4:00 PM -
the latest is 8:30 PM. Prior arrangements are
necessary for a later arrival time.

Departure
time is at 11am the last day of
your stay.

Thayer's
accommodations include a full breakfast served in our dining room at individual tables.

Each
guest room is perfect for one or two guests, is decorated with authentic period
antiques, has a
private
bath, hair dryer and air conditioning

We do not have
cribs, cots or roll-a ways

Thayer’s
is not usually suitable for children under 16 years of
age. It is possible that children under 16 years of
age may stay during the week when approved by Sharon 48
hours in advance of your arrival.

We
do offer the opportunity to arrange special
private parties, teas and packages for
children younger that 16 years.

We
are protected with smoke alarms & a sprinkler system.
EVERY GUEST ROOM is NON-SMOKING. You are
welcome to smoke outside in designated areas.

No
candles are allowed in our guest rooms.

Thayer's
has two friendly Main Coon cats. Miss
Sadie Cat and Tennessee. They are indoor kitties even
though Tennessee might try to convince you otherwise.
Please do not allow them to go outside.

Everything
at Thayer's is pre-paid. Please double check everything
you are ordering before
making a
reservation; once Thayer's accepts your request, your credit card is charged.

Holiday
Reservations: The
day before a holiday, the holiday and the day after are
charged at our standard rates. Sale rates, discounts and
coupons do not apply to Holiday stays.

CANCELLATION
POLICIES:

Regarding
guest room cancellations:
Thayer's understands
that life changes; we will work with you as best we can.
When you give us a minimum 72 hour advance notice of a
standard rate reservation cancellation we will issue an
in-house rain check, valid for 3 years, in the full amount
paid.

Regarding
all Private Functions, Packages, Sales or Special Pricing,
Murder Mysteries and entertainment Events with or with-out guest rooms:
You may sell your space and keep the
money however,
all monies
paid Thayer's become the automatic cancellation fee.

Thayer's reserves the right to
accept, reject and or cancel
any reservation for any reason or circumstance at any time.

Should Thayer's cancel a
reservation, Thayer's is responsible to return to the original purchaser
the full amount actually paid to us. Thayer's will be held
harmless for any additional costs or inconvenience the
cancellation may cause.

If
you would like to tour Thayer's, aka Sharon's home, please
make an appointment at least 48 hours in advance. Sunday
afternoons work well for an appointment to see Thayer's.

Thayer's
is not a restaurant and we
are not "open to the public." All events, including dining,
are by special arrangement.

We
do not carry a liquor, wine or beer license. We ask that you refrain from bringing in
alcoholic
beverages; if you do, our other licenses will be in
jeopardy and we may request that you leave; no refund will be
offered or given for your unused reservation.

Children
13 years of age and older are welcome to stay with
us.

Children
younger than 16 years of age MAY NOT attend our Murder
Mystery Dinner events, they may attend
other special events, weddings and receptions when discussed at least five (5) days in advance with Sharon.

We
love pets! and do our best to accommodate. Most pets are allowed to
stay; restrictions do apply so, check with Sharon about the details a minimum of
5 days before your arrival
date.

Thayer's
was built
as a Railroad 3 story balloon framed hotel in 1895.

Thayer's
has
the privilege and honor to be listed on the National
Register of Historic Places and we still have trains running close
by and no elevator.

All
of our guest rooms are on the second and third floors.
-
Guestrooms do not have telephones or
TV's; for guests that may suffer from TV
withdrawal, we have a TV, DVD & VCR in the living room.

Gift
certificates purchased directly from Thayer's
may be applied to all offers, B&B overnight stays, packages,
Murder Mysteries, Dinner shows, weddings and events as well
as taxes, gratuities, and fees arising out of use
of the certificate.

Gift
Certificates, other than those purchased directly from
Thayer's, we refer to them as donation gift
certificates, may be applied to standard rates only unless
they state otherwise. They may
not be applied to any sales, packages, reduced
pricing, taxes or gratuities. The
Donation Gift Certificate holder is responsible for all taxes,
duties, fees and gratuities arising out of use of these
Donation Certificates.

All
gift certificates, purchased or donated, have no
cash value and no refunds are given.

Discounts apply to only the first night of a stay
and only one discount offer may be used per visit unless
the offer states otherwise.

Service
Gratuities are an automatic 20% of the TOTAL BILL
before any sale pricing, coupons or discounts are applied.

A
Dining
room rental of $350 plus tax is added to each
private event held at Thayer's -
Dining Room rental is
waived when 6 guest or more guest rooms are rented
the night of the event.

Events
require a $2,000 payment or payment in full which
ever is less. Any remaining balance is due 15
days prior to event.

Minnesota
requires a 6.5%
sales tax; it is automatically added.

Should you choose to disregard our policies, please understand that by doing so,
you accept all consequences and all responsibility for
damages.

Room rates, packages, specials, extras, policies & prices are subject to availability & may be discontinued or changed without advance notice.
