So, what is an Interactive Mystery?

Thayer  History

Weddings

Built in 1895,  Listed on the National Register of Historic Places

Thayer's Historic Bed n' Breakfast voted "Property of the Year"  by the Minnesota Association of Innkeepers .... for Thayer's outstanding contribution to Minnesota's Lodging Industry!  For two years in a row,  Arrington's Bed & Breakfast Journal listed Thayer's as one of the top #3 Bed & Breakfast's in the nation, offering Murder Mystery Dinners!

New and ever changing, that's what Thayer's is to me.... and keeping in that light, I moved my reading room to the room off the living room where my office was, and my office to the back of the house where my bedroom was, and my bedroom is now back on the third floor. ( I thought I could use a little more exercise)  Most of the time, unless I'm in a reading, you can find me at my desk or in the kitchen.

I'm putting some New stuff together for 2006 and, it to,  will be like everything else here... by special arrangement...

New Paranormal workshops and retreats for groups are a great way to learn and have fun; and you asked me to bring back the "Dinner with a Psychic" so,  here ya are!

The  Ghost Hunting 101 classes are a hoot! and you can book them for a group or just you. I have the scheduled dates listed on the event calendar by month.

You can order Massages, tattoo parties, Afternoon scheduled & private teas, psychic readings, dinners for B&B guests on nights we don't have events scheduled, and Carriage rides. The Carriage rides are by Epona Carriage rides in Buffalo, MN.

Our Interactive Murder Mystery Dinners are on the schedule for at least once a month for 2006, the Sassy, Jazzy & Jazz vocal & Comedy Review is on the schedule for December 2005 & February 2006. Check out the calendar of events for a complete listing of dates.

I may be brining in the "Seams like Swing" dinner show again, it will depend on your interest. Send me an email if you want them scheduled any time soon. slg@thayers.net

As this year continues to be a challenge for most of our pockets and hearts, I'm continuing to offer reduced pricing on B&B stays during the week and on weekends now to March of 2006.

OK, Ok , for those that know me, don't panic! Chocolate and cream are staying staples in my cooking but, I thought it might be good to let those of you not familiar with my cooking that I do know how to be health conscious; I can prepare foods that are heart healthy, vegetarian, Vegan  and foods for special diets-even macrobiotic...

I still do believe in the three basic food groups - comfort food that is made with butter, sugar and chocolate!! That will not change, I guarantee it!!  I just thought it was important to have you know I do offer options that can comfortably accommodate special needs. Please tell us when you need/ want healthy, I'm actually good at it.

Having your wedding here is a great way to have a celebration that is elegant, personalized and totally yours.

Dates are filling in more and more quickly with our "We Want Simple" wedding package. It is a big hit as is the new Premium Package that includes your wedding, ceremony, entertainment, reception, flowers, and guest rooms.

More state & national press! The Among Women Magazine, Annandale Advocate, St. Could Times, Simply Minnesota magazine, Arrington's Bed and Breakfast Journal and Inn Traveler Magazine were nice enough to do articles on Thayer's.

How about a four page spread in the winter 2005 edition with some great photos from Arrington's! Can't buy that kind of advertising! Many thanks!

and, we are in two more books. A Ghost in My Suitcase by Mitchell Whittington is the most recent. Thanks Mitchell!!

Later, Sharon

PS: The gardens are look'n good! Below is a photo of one of our new fountains. Thanks to all of you that work so much to have the garden lovely, pretty and fine.
