We are excited to offer you a wonderful location to have a memorable
event that makes a grand impression!
Thayer's offers an "Old
West" setting that is not only beautiful and
historic, but one that is comfortable.
Thayer's
is available for private group events 365 days a year by special arrangement.
Groups as small as two and as large as fifty guests have
enjoyed our hospitality. We customize your event and work with you to make sure you receive
exactly what you are needing for your special occasion.
My
staff and I are dedicated people that are proud of where we work, and of what we do. We take
care of you and your guests; you can be confident that we are experienced,
talented and friendly. We excel at being the best.
We have been told often that we are all over achievers and
perfectionists!
At
Thayer's you have an elegant, graceful and private setting for you and your
guests to experience unequaled cuisine, rich in
flavor and presentation. Our guests claim we have “the
finest food available in the area.” and we have
been described as "a class act without the
attitude".
Our
standard fare could be described as gourmet comfort food. We
make and serve homemade bread and desserts, specially cut
meats, seafood purchased the day of serving and sauces made
from real butter and cream. Our signature salads and homemade
raspberry vinaigrette draw raves from customers. Our food is
ordered and prepared per plate to guarantee freshness and
flavor.
Be
prepared to converse, relax and enjoy luscious, beautifully
presented meals, as a Thayer dining experience lasts about 2
½ to 3 hours. Whether your event is simple casual or elegant and
refined, I'll guarantee we will take good care of
you and each of your guests.
Most
groups we work with are happy
we do not serve alcohol (less liability), however, if you have a group that
wants alcohol, we are happy to accommodate your request with our "Mysteries
to Go" option. It's a Mystery Dinner or other of our
entertainment that can be held at a location with a liquor
license.

When food is being served, there
is a minimum charge of $375 to use Thayer's dining room for a
private event. When you rent 6 or more rooms that minimum
charge may be reduced. You can rent the entire house for

events require full payment or $2,000 payment, whichever is
less, to secure
the date.

automatic 20%
service charge-gratuity and a 6.5% sales tax are added

We
accept Visa, MC, American Express, Discover, cash and
personal checks as payment.
- If it is
necessary to cancel a private function, we will work with
you as best we can. Please check our Policy
page for complete details.
- Once we have accepted your payment your
event date is secured.
It belongs to you. Event dates are
not-exchangeable.
- When arranging for
your event, please consider the
ages of those attending. We do not permit
children under 16 years
to attend murder mystery dinners.
- No videos of
Murder Mystery Dinners are allowed. Still photos are
fine.
- Thayer's
reserves the right to accept, reject and or cancel any
reservation; including, but not to be solely defined by the
terms, private party, wedding, guest room reservation,
Mystery Dinner, Special Event or Psychic reading, due
to unforeseen circumstances.
- Should a cancellation
by Thayer's happen, Thayer's is responsible to return to the
original purchaser the full amount paid to Thayer's. Thayer's,
it's owner, assignees and/or employees will be
held harmless for any additional costs or inconvenience
the cancellation may cause.
- Thayer's is alcohol and
smoke free; smoking is permitted in designated areas
outside. No alcohol is permitted.
