Alaska Lodging and Fishing, Kenai River

Mark and Cindy GlassmakerAlaska is a place unlike any other in the world, especially if one likes fishing From the rainforests of the southeast to the arctic tundra of the far north, Alaska is truly a land of diversity.  However, one jewel stands out as the sportfishing focus of Alaska, the Kenai Peninsula and the legendary Kenai River, home of the largest king salmon in the world.

Our Moose Horn Hollow and Edgewater Lodge cabins are located only yards from the world famous Kenai River.  Only 5 miles from Soldotna, our Kenai River cabins are convenient and easy to find.  Guests have exclusive permission to fish our 220 foot private Kenai River frontage where the fishing action can become intense at times, especially when the sockeye (red) salmon flood the Kenai River.  Public fishing access is also within walking distance.   Trophy rainbow trout, dolly varden, silver salmon and pink salmon are also accessible from the bank.

Backtrolling on the KenaiIn addition to affordable and comfortable lodging, we also offer a variety of professional guided fishing trips to complement your Alaska vacation.  The Kenai Peninsula offers the most varied sportfishing opportunities in all of Alaska, if not the world.  We established our lodging facilities to accommodate our fishing clientele and we will be more than happy to help you plan the fishing portion of your vacation.  Mark Glassmaker is a 16 year veteran Master Guide and he will help you create a fishing and lodging package that meets both your expectations and your budget.
