Welcome to SeaWorld San Antonio! We are glad you are here! This guide provides an overview of services and facilities available for guests with disabilities who are visiting SeaWorld San Antonio. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our guests. This guide is intended to supplement the SeaWorld San Antonio park map, which contains a variety of park information, an entertainment schedule, as well as preferred accessible paths of travel. Park maps are available upon arrival to the park.. Rides or attractions may be added or removed from SeaWorld San Antonio. If you encounter an area not covered by this guide please feel free to ask a crew member for information.
If you have any questions, or feel that you need assistance, please tell a SeaWorld Crew Member, and he or she will make every effort to accommodate you.
Many theme park rides incorporate safety systems designed by the manufacturer to accommodate people of average physical stature and body proportion. These systems may place restrictions on the ability of an individual to safely experience the ride. Extremely large or small individuals; guests who have or have had health concerns with their heart, back or neck; expectant mothers; people who have had recent surgery; or people with casts, braces, prosthetics or restrictive devices may not be safely accommodated by these systems. For example, height requirements and the level of developmental maturity usually associated with a certain height are based on the size needed for safety restraints to function properly. Again, if you have any questions or feel that you need assistance, please tell a SeaWorld Crew Member. Our goal is to accommodate everyone who can safely participate in any of SeaWorld's rides.
Notice: The information in this guide is subject to change without notice. Please contact a SeaWorld Crew Member regarding accessibility prior to entering a particular attraction. You also may wish to visit Guest Relations for current information on accessibility and services.

Service animals are welcome at SeaWorld San Antonio. Then, the guest who watched the animal may board the ride without waiting in line once the owner assumes responsibility of the animal.
Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for controlling your animal's behavior.
If at any time your animal's behavior becomes a threat to the safety or well being of our guests, you will be asked to leave the facility or board the animal at our kennel.

General Information
At SeaWorld San Antonio, safety is the only consideration that takes precedence over fun. Thrill rides, by their very nature, create forces and speeds that may not be tolerable to some persons, and may cause injury to some riders with pre-existing conditions, known or unknown. In general, all riders should be in good health. Expectant mothers and those who have had recent surgery or injury; those with high blood pressure, heart conditions, neck or back problems; and those with any impairment or condition that would prevent normal seating or the use of safety restraints as provided, should not board.
Generally, to ride, each guest must have the ability to brace themselves upright in the seat, hold on tight, keeping their head erect, their back and shoulders against the seat back, and their hands, arms, legs, and feet down and inside the ride at all times.
Each ride has its own restriction sign at the ride entrance. Please review these closely. If you have any questions, please see a SeaWorld Crew Member for more details.
Before You Ride
The ride exit at the "Steel Eel" roller coaster, Texas Splashdown, "The Great White" roller coaster, as well as a side entrance in the plaza at Rio Loco, are designed to accommodate guests using wheelchairs.
Because of the nature of the load/unload station at "Steel Eel," Texas Splashdown, "The Great White" and Rio Loco, the ride exits (and side plaza entrance for Rio Loco) are designed to serve as the Auxiliary Access Entrance for guests using wheelchairs to provide a more convenient entrance and exit to the attraction. An Auxiliary Access Entrance is not intended to bypass waiting in line. There may be a waiting period before boarding and wait times will vary. Guests using the exit at "The Great White" and Texas Splashdown may be accompanied by a maximum of three guests. One guest may accompany guests using the exit at "Steel Eel." Guests using the side plaza entrance at Rio Loco may be accompanied by a maximum of five guests. Additional guests should wait in the main queue.
At all rides, including Kiddie Rides, guests may need assistance from another member of their party in order to board safely and those using wheelchairs will need to transfer from their wheelchair onto the ride. SeaWorld Crew Members are neither trained nor permitted to assist beyond helping to steady or support disabled guests. Therefore, we recommend that guests plan to visit with someone who can physically assist them, when necessary.
SeaWorld's definition of a responsible person is one who physically and mentally meets all of the requirements to ride themselves, is sixteen (16) years of age or older, accepts responsibility to care for the guest and exhibits the maturity generally expected from a person sixteen (16) years of age or older. Whenever a guest is required to be accompanied by a responsible adult, the person must be able to safely ride the ride themselves in addition to assisting the guest, including but not limited to, maintaining his/her postural control under the dynamic conditions of the ride if necessary.
Guests with prostheses, casts or braces may be restricted from riding certain rides if the cast or brace may present hazard to the guest or others. Please consult with our Guest Relations staff for more information or if in doubt about your ability to safely experience a ride.
Precautionary evacuations may be required due to such causes as mechanical adjustments, weather conditions, or power interruption. If an evacuation is required, guests may need to negotiate stairs from the highest point of the ride and down steeply inclined catwalks or steps. Guests requiring assistance during the evacuation may be evacuated last in order to expedite the evacuation process.
Please inquire about specific procedures prior to boarding a particular attraction.
Height Requirements
Height requirements are posted at each attraction. All guests including those using wheelchairs must meet the height requirement.
Loose Items/Camera Policy
For safety reasons, loose articles are not permitted on any ride. Picture taking is not permitted on any ride. Because of the nature or dynamics of all rides and the potential for injury, unsecured items of any size are not permitted on the rides.
Please understand that due to possible confusion, our operators may not hold loose items for guests. If you have no provision for leaving your items, one person in your party may wait with the items on the ride platform while the other people in the party ride. When the guest who has ridden returns, simply exchange the item and the waiting guest may now ride. There are also lockers located throughout the park. The main entrance and exit of Lost Lagoon, the pathway leading to the Activity Pool and Wave Wash Pool, pathway leading to Splash Attack, and the entrance to the Beach Area are designed to accommodate guests in wheelchairs. The Lost Lagoon restrooms have stalls and shower areas to accommodate wheelchairs, as well.
Because of the nature of loading/unloading at Buckaroo Mountain, Sky Tubin', and the Activity Tower, guests traveling in wheelchairs will need to transfer out of their wheelchair to access the tops of these rides. In addition to this, guests will need to be able to position themselves appropriately to ride each slide and exit catch pools. Guests may need assistance from a member of their party to complete this process. Lost Lagoon Crew Members are neither trained nor permitted to assist beyond helping steady or support a physically challenged guest.
Service animals will not be permitted on top of towers or in pools. Therefore, it is recommended that guests plan to visit with someone who can physically assist them, when necessary.
Please inquire about specific procedures prior to participating at an attraction.
