Getting around

In town: Traveling around town is quite easy. Trang town is small that you can even go from one place to the other by walking. But there are also other alternations; Tuk Tuk and motorcycle are the practical ways to get around town.

Tuk Tuk: As Trang is characterized by a lot of hillocks, it is undoubtedly inconvenient to travel around by walking only. Tuk Tuk is thus a good choice. The three-wheeled vehicles called Tuk Tuk seem to be the symbol of Trang main transport and part of Trang life; they are available everywhere in town. It costs around 10-20 Baht to get from one place to another.

Motorcycle: If you are going to stay in town, getting around by motorcycle is recommended. With motorbike, you can make a one-day trip to several interesting sites nearby on your own. Many motorbike rentals are available around town. It costs 200 Baht a day.

Getting to Islands: You can get to the islands of Trang by take a boat at these four piers:

• Kuantungku Pier
• Pakmeng Pier
• Kantang Pier
• Taseh Pier

However, the best way to get to the islands is joining tour group, it is more convenient and more economic.

Getting to waterfalls
There are mini-buses running from Trang town to many waterfalls nearby  several times a day. This way is quite inconvenient due to infrequency of mini-buses. The best way to get to waterfalls is hiring the motorbike.
