ATTORNEYS

U.S. Agency for International Development

The United States Agency for International Development, which implements the U.S. economic and humanitarian foreign assistance program, has openings for two attorneys who will provide legal support to programs funded under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The two positions will be based in Africa, one in Nairobi and one in southern Africa, likely Pretoria. Each attorney will support PEPFAR funded programs in several countries. Prior experience with Federal contracts and grants, prior overseas experience, especially in developing countries, and relevant foreign language skills, are all desirable.

Applicants must have at least 5 years legal practice experience. These are non-career appointments, limited to a term not to exceed five years. Depending on level of relevant professional experience, starting salary will be from $84,227 to $123,690, plus housing and standard USG foreign assignment allowances.
