Time Limiting

  • The program will limit the total amount of time spent online.
  • You can set the program to only allow Internet access during certain periods of time.

Filtering

There are many different types of filtering products. To begin with, some products are installed on your own computer at home (client-side), while others are installed on the larger computers at your Internet service provider (server-side). iProtectYou is client-based.

    Content is made available to families via use of a proxy server or the user's installation of client-side software.

    • adding their own URLs to pre-selected content
    • removing URLs from pre-selected content

    Garfield Island does not rely on other commerically available products.
