Letters
All depicted letters are held by the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam (Vincent van Gogh Foundation). For the English translations, we have used The Complete Letters of Vincent Van Gogh, Little, Brown and Company, Boston/Toronto/London, 1991 (4th edition). Dutch transcriptions and translations have been copied from De brieven van Vincent van Gogh, Han van Crimpen en Monique Berends-Albert (ed.), SDU Publishers, The Hague 1990.

The museum is currently preparing a new Dutch edition of Vincent van Gogh's correspondence. Following its publication, the information on this site will be adapted.
