Public Transportation
Public transportation can be a life saver, especially
for those of us
who live in urban areas with high traffic congestion. In Chicago, for
example, the public transit system is well done with lots of options to
get you where you are going. Whether it is the bus, train, subway,
commuter train, taxi or even the bike lanes, Chicago is set up to make life
easier for commuters.
the other hand, the public transportation
system could barely get any worse. There are limited bus routes and there
are so
many highways going in every direction that it is a poorly set up
metropolis that is underprepared to accomodate other types of travellers.
But
in more rural areas, public transportation can be almost nill. I suppose
you could consider a school bus public transit, but sometimes that is about
the extent of it.
But in more developed areas, public transportation
is a must. Without
it, traffic would come to a standstill and the amount of commuters on
the road would be overwhelming. And besides, the bus is a great place to listen
to all the great music you have on your iPod or other audio player device.
