. High-Ranking Colombian Drug Traffickers Plead Guilty to Cocaine Charges The United States Government strongly condemns the kidnapping and murder of Afro-Colombian leader Orlando Valencia. Mr. Valencia fought for the human rights that are the birthright of all Colombians. We recognize the Colombian Government's efforts to date to find and punish those responsible. The United States Government urges the Colombian Government to do its utmost to investigate this crime, arrest the perpetrators, and ensure that justice is served.
