of the Thomas L. Sager, Employer of Choice, and Special Achievement

Missing In Action: DC’s Disappointing Partner
Demographics Annual Report on Firms with No Minority Partners
In Washington, DC, the center of the nation’s
political arena and federal government, many law offices today still
lack inclusiveness in the partnership ranks. Of the 139 District
of Columbia law offices surveyed, 33 firms did not have partners
of color in their DC offices—from small firms with 11 to 25
attorneys to larger ones with up to 100 lawyers. A handful of firms
do not have female partners. Find out what these firms have to say

Welcoming
Gay Attorneys: Law Firms with Domestic Partner Benefits
Today, large and small companies throughout the country are offering
domestic partner benefits to same-sex couples. Many law firms over
the past 15 years have also begun to recognize that their gay and
lesbian attorneys deserve the same benefits offered to their married
lawyers. Presented in this article are more than 200 law firms from
various states, including Texas, Iowa, New York, California, Minnesota,
Georgia, and Virginia, whose gay and lesbian attorneys can enroll
their domestic partners in their firm’s benefits program.

law is one of hobnobbing with high-profile celebrity clients. Many

Diversity Dollars Grant Program:
Application deadline March 24, 2006.
Membership based organizations that consists of lawyers, including
outside counsel or in-house counsel are eligible to apply for funding
for initiatives that advance diversity in the legal profession.
