National Rail Enquiries has scooped two major prizes at the HSBC Rail Business Awards.
Picking up the award for ’Rail Supplier of the Year’, Chris Scoggins, Chief Executive of National Rail Enquiries, said all the evidence showed high satisfaction levels among the public. In recent years the service has diversified its range of products to satisfy people’s rail information needs, with easy-to-use channels that suit the customer’s environment.
“We now get information to rail travellers using an extensive range of media – by telephone, through the internet, WAP and SMS. And we are innovative – just look at the success of the TrainTracker™ automated service,” said Mr. Scoggins as he accepted the award.
The judges paid tribute to the National Rail Enquiries’ ability to get more people to travel by train. They said:
“National Rail Enquiries’ quality of service is very closely monitored and it is highly innovative. The key factor in their win is that they actually get more people travelling by train, expanding the total rail market through a reliable product.”
The service was also Highly Commended in the ‘Rail Business of the Year’ category at the same awards.
