Time for a Bit of Division

Perennials Shared with Community Gardens

The Chicago Botanic Garden is looking for a few good perennials to share with urban community gardeners across Chicago. On Thursday, September 22, you may assist in this effort by bringing your divided donations to the Garden’s Parking Lot 3 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Great Perennial Divide is held annually to add new life and sustain more than 250 urban community gardens. Field-dug plants, labeled and either potted in plastic pots (preferred) or bagged, and garden tools will be accepted. The donated items will be distributed at various locations throughout Chicago on Saturday, September 24. For more information, call (847) 835-8352.
