Applicants may apply to Royal Roads University by using:
Application requirements vary by program but in general include:
- Completed application form accompanied by the appropriate application and evaluation fee.
- Two letters of reference, listing examples of how skills or traits have been demonstrated.
- Official transcripts from prior post secondary institutions. High School transcripts are not normally required. An official transcript is one that is forwarded directly to the Admissions Office of Royal Roads University by the issuing institution, or in the school's sealed transcript envelope if provided by the applicant. Transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended are required for degree-seeking applicants.
- Resumé – see specific program areas for details.
- Personal statement - applicants must follow the instructions indicated in their specific program description.
Each application must be accompanied by a $100 processing fee. This fee is non-refundable and is not credited to the applicant's financial account under any circumstances.
Applications are not normally reviewed until all required documents are received. All applicants are informed in writing of the decision regarding their application. This information cannot be provided by telephone. Applications received after the deadline listed for the program may be deferred and considered for acceptance into the next program entry period.
Enrollment at the university is limited. Complete applications (i.e., all application documents having been received by the Admissions Office) are processed and adjudicated on a rolling basis and programs may be filled prior to the application deadline.
NOTE: The possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee that an applicant will be granted admission to a program or to the university.
The university reserves the right to refuse admission to any applicant. Upon acceptance, all learners may be required to provide proof of medical and accident insurance coverage for the duration of their residential studies at the university.
