Aardvark Topsites PHP 5 is a major improvement over previous versions. It is faster, more secure, and has several new and innovative features. Upgrading is simple for people using version 4.1.0 or newer.
Here is a list of the major new features:
- Google-friendly links in and out
- Detailed stats: 10 days, weeks and months, plus overall and highest stats
- Usernames instead of ID numbers
- User control panel
- Rank by either an average or just this day/week/month
- New ranking period: overall
- Simplified user interface
- Approve reviews before they are posted in the admin
- Manage reviews in the admin, like manage members
- Checkboxes to approve or delete multiple members or reviews easily in the admin
Beta versions have been in testing for over a month and are already used on hundreds of topsites lists, so this release should not give you any trouble.
If you are an early adopter, please post in the General Discussion forum and let me know what you think of the new features and of the script as a whole. If you are bilingual, translate it into your language. If you're a designer, make some skins. If you're a hacker, make some mods.

Looking at the files im gueing the upgrader isnt needed if you wear useing one of the 5.0 RC's, is this correct?
EDIT: o and btw in the admin panel it still says 4.2.2 as the latest version reliesed not really any big problems just thought id point that out

there is no config, there is no admin so new version is absolutely useless standalone
more, a had previous and i coudnt upgrade. admin.php said that unknown column created used in query. |

i've istalled clear 4.2.2 and overwrite it with 5.0 and ran install/upgrade
Unknown column 'created' in 'where clause' |

No config? no admin? Useless as a standalone?
The config file has a new name... there most certainly is an admin and its slicker than ever... Aardvark V5 stands alone just fine... waay ahead of any other topsite script IMO.
I upgraded without issue from version 4. Check the manual if you need help, its all there.

Thanks Jeremy for this new version 5.0
I tried the upgrade but I messed up big time, removed all files uploaded the new ones and mailed all 53 members to register again.
Take into account that members need to update their html-code on their website to display the image properly.
Anyway thanks very much!
