Connection Card
Connection Card

What is the Connection Card?

The Connection Card is our loyalty program that rewards you for your play with us! You can use your Connection Card at every one of our resorts in the US including Bally’s, Caesars, Flamingo, Grand Casinos, Reno Hilton and Paris casinos.

The Connection Card will soon be converting to the Harrah’s Total Rewards loyalty program.  Each property will implement the Total Rewards card and benefits separately. By Spring 2006, you will be able to use one card at all Caesars and Harrah’s casinos.

How do I sign up for a Connection Card?

It’s fast, easy and free to sign up! All you have to do is visit a Connection Card desk at any one of our properties in the U.S. including Bally’s, Caesars, Flamingo, Grand Casinos, the Reno Hilton and Paris brand casinos.  You can also click on the link below to sign up.

CONNECTION COMPS

How do I earn Connection Comps?

Connection Comps accumulate based on a number of factors, including your length of play, average bet, denomination and type of machine you’re playing.  In those factors, there’s also pace and coin-in.

Connection Comps can be earned for your tracked casino play as well as for purchases charged to your hotel bill at any of our resorts nationwide.  Your Comp Dollars are combined into one central account and can be redeemed at any of our casinos.

Your Comp Bank balance will reflect all your earnings and comp redemptions across all our resorts.

Be sure to use your card in every machine or present your card to the dealer the entire time you play.

How many Connection Comps do I need before I can redeem them?

All you need to earn is a minimum of $5 ($10 in NV) in Connection Comp Dollars to start redeeming.  You can see how much you’ve earned each time you insert your card into the slot card reader or by swiping your card at one of our self-serve kiosks (table games players can do this as well).

How can I redeem my Comp Dollars?

Visit any Caesars casino, stop by a Connection Center, present valid identification and have a comp voucher issued.  Present your voucher to any participating outlet, or apply to your hotel folio when you checkout.

Or you can establish a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and “Comp Yourself” at our self-service kiosks.  Kiosks are located at various locations throughout all our resorts.  Please visit a Connection Center and present a valid identification to establish your PIN.

You can also view your Connection Comp Dollar balance online with your PIN number.  Be sure to establish your PIN at the Connection Center when visiting our casinos.

Comp Dollars cannot be redeemed for online reservations; however they can be applied to your hotel folio (at check out) when staying at our resorts.

How do I earn Connection Comps for expenditures charged to my hotel bill?

Currently, we give you a 3% rebate for what you spend for hotel rooms, restaurants, entertainment and participating retail (excluding items that are comped). All you have to do is stay at one of our resorts and sign-up for a Connection Card.  And be sure your Connection Card number is added to your reservation.

Approximately 30 days after your visit, we'll calculate the rebate and deposit that amount into your Connection Comps account (adding to the comp balance you may already have). All comp dollars are redeemable at any of our resorts.

Once each property converts to the Total Rewards loyalty card program, the 3% hotel rebate will no longer be offered.

Can table games players earn Comps?

Yes, you can earn Connection Comp Dollars for your table games play.  These comp dollars accumulate with the comps you earn from slot play and expenditures charged to your hotel bill.

Be sure to hand your card to the dealer every time you sit down to play.

To view your Connection Comp balance, simply insert your card into a slot card reader, or go to the Connection Center for assistance.  The Connection Center at all our properties can also redeem your comps whenever you’re ready.

As a Connection Card Member, can I use my Comp Dollars to make reservations?

You can get the best rates, check for availability and book your reservations right on-line, and then you can apply your Comp Dollars to offset or pay for your total hotel bill at the end of your stay.

CONNECTION CASH

Do you have Cash Back?

Currently, when in Las Vegas, you can earn points for slot play at any one of our Las Vegas resorts (Bally's, Caesars Palace, Flamingo and Paris) which are combined into one central account and can be redeemed for Cash Back at any of our Las Vegas casinos prior to conversion.

Once your Connection Card has been converted to the Total Rewards card, the cash back program will be replaced with a New Cash in Your Mailbox program.   Any remaining Cash Back dollars after the conversion will be mailed to you in the form of a voucher to be used on your return trip to Las Vegas.

Can table games players earn Cash Back?

No, table players don’t earn points for cash back.

CONNECTION ON-LINE

Why can’t I update my Connection Card account information on-line?

At this time we are required to verify your identification in person and only update your account when a valid ID is presented.  Please visit the Connection Center at any of our resorts to update your account.

Why do you give me an Online Password and a PIN number? Aren’t these both the same?

The On-Line Password only allows you to edit your Online Profile account and make reservations.

A Personal Identification Number (PIN), allows you to view your Connection Comp Bank balance on our website, plus this same PIN is used to redeem your Comp Dollars at our Kiosks at our resorts.  Your PIN can only be established and changed at one of our casinos.

Please understand that all transactions on your Connection Card account require you to present a valid identification.

I want to see how many Comp Dollars I earned and redeem at every property, is this available online? (Or) Will I receive monthly statements detailing my account?

No, please visit the Connection Center during your next visit for exact earnings and redemptions.

I can get my Connection Comp Dollar balance online, why can’t I view my Points online?

Since Points are not a universal reward we are unable to display them online.  Please visit the Connection Center for your Point balance and redemption information.

I signed up on line and have not received my card in the mail yet.

After signing up on- line we do not send a card in the mail as we need to confirm your identity and date of birth (you must be 21 or older). The next time you visit the casino, stop by the Connection Center and present your identification and pick up your card…it will only take a minute.

TOTAL REWARDS CONVERSION

Will I be able to continue to use my Connection Card once Total Rewards in place?

Once the conversion has taken place, your Connection Card will no longer be valid.  The Flamingo will be the first property to convert in December 2005, Bally’s and Paris will convert in January 2006 and Caesars Palace will convert in February 2006.  When the conversion is completed at each property, only your Total Rewards card will be accepted for play.

If I currently have a Connection Card, how will I receive my new Total Rewards Card?

If you are a Connection Card member, a Total Rewards card may be mailed out to you, otherwise you can stop by a Total Rewards booth on your next visit and receive your new card.  The Total Rewards card has three tier levels (Gold, Platinum and Diamond).  You will receive a tiered card based on your combined Harrah’s and Caesars play for the 2005 calendar year.

What will happen to my Connection Card Comps once my card is converted to Total Rewards?

Your Connection Card comp dollars will be automatically rolled into you Total Rewards comp account balance, so you haven’t lost ANY credits or status you accumulated with your Connection Card.

Where can I learn more about the Total Rewards program?
Visit your nearest Harrah’s Total Rewards Center or click here to view complete information on the program.

TOTAL REWARDS CREDITS

How many Rewards Credits are required for each Tier?

Everyone qualifies for the Gold tier status.  Platinum membership requires a minimum of 4,000 Base Reward Credits, and Diamond membership requires a minimum of 10,000 Base Reward Credits earned in a calendar year.

How do I earn Reward Credits?
Use your Total Rewards card the entire time you play.  For each $5 you play on our reel machines, you will earn one Base Reward Credit ($10 for video poker).  For table games and other game types, you’ll earn Reward Credits based on your length of play, average bet and the type of game.

How do I redeem Reward Credits?

Visit any Harrah’s, Showboat, Rio, Harveys, and soon Caesars casino, stop by the Total Rewards booth, present valid identification and have a comp voucher issued.   Certain casino outlets have Quick Rewards which is the capability to swipe your card and redeem your Rewards Credits without having to receive a comp voucher. Check with a Total Rewards Representative to see if the casino you are visiting offers this.

Do Total Reward Credits expire?

Your Reward Credits will never expire as long as you visit and earn just 1 Reward Credit every six months.

What if I only visit a Caesars property once a year, what will be the impact on my Total Rewards account?

Since you only visit once per year, your best bet would be to use all your Rewards Credits during each visit.  We also have a partnership with MBNA Visa Card where you earn 1 Reward Credit for every dollar you spend. So all you will need to do is charge $1 to your Visa card and your points will not expire.
