All of the Protx solutions use high levels of encryption. Protx has been audited and approved by all of the major UK acquiring banks which require Protx to adhere to all APACS standards.

Which forms of payment are acceptable?
Protx can process multi-currency alongside Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Solo and Switch.

What sort of support is there once I am set up and trading?
Once you are registered, you will be given a unique vendor ID that will enable you to access an administration area that will keep you up to date with any transaction that has been made on your site. Protx also has a technical and customer support team available through our support pages and on the telephone during normal office hours. We also check support emails out of office hours and can be contacted, in emergenices, through our main office number.

Which shopping carts can you integrate with?
Protx has integrated with all the major shopping carts on the market, which are listed here. However, if you wish to use one that is not listed, please contact our technical team who will be more than happy to advise you. We also provide integration kits for bespoke shopping carts.

Protx works with a large number of web designers across the country who will be happy to advise you on web design, hosting and e-commerce solutions. Please see our partner page for listings. Protx will provide integration kits, with full instructions which will talk you through every stage of the integration process.

How do I know which system to use for my site?
Protx has four different payment solutions, one of which will suit you. In general, VSP Direct is most suited to companies who need to keep credit card details stored on a secure server, VSP Server is for companies who wish to outsource credit card security to Protx and VSP Form is aimed at smaller merchants who host their servers with a third party or use an off-the-shelf shopping basket. Protx also offers a Virtual Terminal (VSP Terminal) service, this is particularly useful for companies who take credit card details over the telephone or in other “card not present” environments. For further explanation, please the “About VSP” section of the site.

How do I refund a transaction?
Refunds can be made through the admin area, which is hosted on our secure server. You will be able to access this with your unique vendor ID and password. If you are using VSP Server or VSP Direct, you will need to refund transactions using your own refund mechanism.

Do you have a test site?
Yes. To see a demonstration site, please click here. Please use the following card details VISA 4929000000006 to view a successful transaction. To see an example of VSP Terminal please click here
