GCI Internet Policies :
Copyright Rights & Agents
1. GCI respects the intellectual property of
others, and we ask our users to do the same. If you believe that your work
has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please
provide the following information in the form of a written notification
(pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act “DMCA”) to GCI's
copyright agent:
- A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act
on behalf of the owner of an exclusive copyright right that is allegedly
infringed;
- Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been
infringed;
- Identification of the location where the original or an authorized
copy of the copyrighted work exists, for example the URL or IP of the
website where it is posted; you must include enough information to allow
us to locate the material.
- Your address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the
disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the
law; and
- A statement by you that the information in the notification is
accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner
or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf. GCI's
copyright agent for notification of claims of copyright infringement on
its site is the Internet Security Officer, who can be reached as

2. The following is the GCI Procedure for handling Copyright
Infringement notifications. After receiving a notification as described
above,
- GCI will review to insure conformity with the DMCA jurisdiction of
the copyright infringement.
- If the notification falls within the “notice and take-down”
provisions of the DMCA, GCI will respond to remove, or disable access
to, the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject
of the infringing activity.
- For certain matters that do not fall within the “notice and
take-down” provisions of the DMCA, in an effort to assist copyright
owners and to provide a service to a subscriber who may be violating
terms and conditions of use, GCI may forward a notification to the
subscriber.
- In certain circumstances, GCI may have questions about issues raised
by a notification and may contact the originator.
