Four Decades of Experience

Since 1989, Zetek has been providing life safety solutions to a wide variety of buildings and facilities. Its founder and president, Bertrand Dorfman, led a team that developed a fire protection system using carrier-current technology that has been supplied to clients across the US, in Europe, and in the Far East. In the 1970s, Mr. Dorfman was asked by the mayor of New York’s Fire Safety Committee and by the FDNY to design a system for the city’s new fire code. Mr. Dorfman and various members of the Zetek team have been involved in the field of life safety since that time and hold patents in the fields of carrier-current transmission, data capture systems and wireless communications.
