Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration, and Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
and executive vice president of Finance and Administration, Dana Evan
is responsible for managing all worldwide company operations related
to finance and accounting, human resources, legal matters and investor
relations.
Ms. Evan joined the company in May
of 1996 as vice president of Finance and Administration and CFO. From
November 1995 to May 1996, Ms. Evan served in the capacity of acting
CFO as a consultant to VeriSign. Over the past nine years, she has been
a key member of the executive management team, helping to set business
strategy and grow the company from a small, venture-backed start-up
to a global corporation relied upon to provide intelligent Internet
and telecommunications services for millions of users, including nearly
all of the Fortune 500, government bodies, hundreds of thousands of
small businesses, and nearly one thousand telecommunications carriers
and service providers.
Ms. Evan has over 20 years of experience
specializing in finance and accounting for high technology companies.
Prior to joining VeriSign, she provided consulting services in the capacities
of CFO, vice president of finance, and controller, for public and private
companies, including Portal Software, Identix, Inc., and Delphi Ventures.
Prior to that, she was a senior manager at KPMG Peat Marwick, where
she had a wide range of responsibilities including business planning
and consulting, managing client audits and financial reporting services,
litigation support, and client account management.
Ms. Evan holds a B.A. degree in
Commerce with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the University
of Santa Clara. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State
of California.
