As well as financial support, you can help the following organisations by becoming a volunteer, handing out leaflets, getting involved in fundraising activities, and/or linking to them from your own website. |
| Animal Aid |
| Animal Aid is the UK's largest animal rights organisation. They campaign against all animal abuse and promote a vegan lifestyle. Their annual campaigns include Veggie Month, the Mad Science Awards, and Horse Racing Awareness Week. Animal Aid also organise the Chistmas Without Cruelty Fayre in London. |
| Dr Hadwen Trust |
| The Dr Hadwen Trust for Humane Research is a registered charity which promotes the development of techniques and procedures to replace the use of living animals in biomedical research, testing and teaching. The Trust funds research by scientists, assists in the provision of facilities and equipment for such research. They encourage (through publicity and education) the wider adoption of such techniques. |
| Hippo |
| Hippo is a small charity which aims to extend veganism worldwide and to prevent malnutrition and famine in the developing world by assisting with the provision and production of plant foods. |
| Plants for a Future |
| Plants for a Future (a project based in Cornwall) researches perennial, edible and useful plants for compassionate, sustainable agriculture / living. Their achievements include the creation of an online database of 7,000 plants. |
| Spiralseed (Formerly Land & Liberty) |
| Spiralseed produces a permaculture guide and vegan guide and cookbook. They offer a forest garden and permaculture design consultancy, and run permaculture courses throughout the year. |
| Uncaged Campaigns |
| Uncaged is a very cool vegan-run organisation, campaigning against vivisection with a particular focus on the politics of animal rights. Uncaged co-ordinate the annual International Animal Rights Day and the campaign for a Universal Declaration of Animal Rights. In 2000 they published of the Diaries of Despair - the secret history of pig-to-primate organ transplants. In 2005 they launched the ground-breaking Protecting Animals in Democracy initiative. |
| Vegan-Organic Trust |
| The Vegan-Organic Trust is a charity 'devoted to education about animal-free food growing'. They produce a regular magazine and provide information for both large- and small-scale growers. |
| Vega Research |
Vega Research campaigns on farming and human health issues. Sponsors research into vegan nutrition and the links between diet and health. |
| Vegfam |
| Vegfam is a vegan charity which provides relief to victims of drought, flood, war and other emergencies. Vegfam takes minimal administration costs from the money raised and when you donate you can choose for your donation to go entirely towards your preferred project. This means that they do not have glossy advertising or big customer relations initiatives. However, one of the great things about Vegfam is that your donation will go directly to the people who really need it. |

| Animal rescue |

| These vegan-run animal shelters deal with the fallout from the meat industry. All of these have very high running costs and welcome your financial support. |
| Farm Animal Rescue Sanctuary |
| Vegan-run sanctuary in Wolverton, Warwickshire for over 600 farm animals, cared for by volunteers. |
| Hillside Animal Sanctuary |
| Vegan-run sanctuary for rescued farm animals. Also organises campaigns on behalf of farm animals. |
| Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary |
| This is a privately run animal sanctuary, funded by Fiona Oakes - who runs it "because it is the right thing to do". Fiona is an incredible role-model for vegans, being a marathon runner and fire fighter. See the website for details of the animals which are available to sponsor. |
