The Development Marketplace, in collaboration with the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) and the Water Sanitation Program (WSP), is offering US$4 million in awards for local projects with innovative solutions improving access to clean water supply, safe sanitation, and reliable energy services in developing countries.
The call for proposals is now closed for the 2006 Global Development Marketplace Competition. We received roughly 2,500 proposals, which will be reviewed by over 200 water, sanitation, and energy experts both within and outside the World Bank.
