Hydrogen
Gas Shortage Caused by Hurricane Katrina Stalls Manufacturing
Chains Nationwide
In addition to all the other problems cause by Hurrican
Katrina, supply lines for hydrogen gas have been seriously
disrupted across the country. Among the manufacturers
seriously affected by the hydrogen gas
shortage are users of hydrogen gas for brazing and annealing.
Options Remain for Your Manufacturing Chain
Many Brazing Operations Disrupted by Hydrogen
Gas Shortage... but Not Rogers Metal.
At Rogers Metal, we use Dissociated Ammonia --
not hydrogen gas -- as an atmosphere for all of our muffle
belt furnaces. When this ammonia is dissociated, it produces
a 75% hydrogen and 25% nitrogen, which Rogers Metal uses
for all brazing atomspheres.
We have been assured that there will be no
problems with Ammonia supply from our vendor and with this in
mind we offer our services to help those compaines affected
by the hydrogen gas shortage.
We can handle copper
brazing of steel and most 300 and 400 series stainless
steel materials. We also silver braze the same materials
along with brass and copper.
How can we help you?
