Table Mountain - Click here to view information on Table MountainSouth Africa is a heady mix of third and first world cultures – along with the best and least crowded beaches in the world. Throw in wildlife parks such as the Kruger Park, beautiful natural scenery, a great infrastructure, and a stable post-apartheid environment and you have a great destination waiting to happen.

Travel to Cape Town - one of South Africa 's premier travel destination and home to the renowned Table Mountain. Table Mountain is part of a nature reserve and wooden walkways and designated paths allow you to wander around without damaging the unique plant life. Excellent food, refreshments and ice creams are available and a small shop sells curios and stamps. You can even post your cards from the top of the mountain. Dassies (rock hyrax) that look like giant guinea pigs, laze around on the rocks in the sun and accept little titbits from curious visitors. Believe it or not, these funny little creatures are more closely related to the elephant than any other species.

Cape Town has the reputation as being the most laid back city in the Southern Hemisphere with Capetonians adhering to "Africa time", which is somewhat slower than most other major cities. This relaxed atmosphere is attributed to Table Mountain which is known to be amongst the most spiritual places on earth. You only have to look up to see the quartzite granite cliffs towering over the city with a protective presence. People are drawn towards the mountain and every visitor feels the need to climb up or take the revolving Cable Car to the top. At 1086 metres above sea level, be sure not to miss this privy to the most dramatic views of the whole of the Cape Peninsula.
