Picturesque Port Douglas, hub of the Reef and Rainforest Coast, is just 70 kilometres north of Cairns International Airport along a spectacular scenic coastal drive.
Nestled at the end of a peninsula, the tranquil waters of a natural harbour on one side of the village embrace a lively marina. Along the other side of the peninsula stretches the breathtaking sandy sweep of beautiful Four Mile Beach
1. 20 minutes drive north is Mossman Gorge
2. One hours drive to Daintree Village and 45 minutes to Daintree Ferry which will take you into the heart of the Daintree National Park, the oldest rainforest on earth.
3. Normal cars can drive all the way to Cape Tribulation...after that its 4WD only
4. There are no buildings higher than 3 stories in the whole shire.
5. Port Douglas is one of the closest departure points to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. There are many reef touring options available.
6. Port Douglas is a small quaint village but has a lot of sophistication with over 70 restaurant options and lots of great shopping and galleries
